At CES, The Main attraction of this Smartphone was that: Xperia Z is a Quad-core Smartphone which is water-resistant as well as Dust Resistant and yet with sleek and Elegant looks.
We are aware of Sony’s long expertise of water-resistant electronics like cameras and now in a Smartphone. Sony explains water-resistant to the point where the smartphone could be submerged in fresh water (to a depth of 3.2 feet) for up to 30 minutes without the risk of damage. that means Xperia Z can be used in the shower or bath without any risk. The audio, micro USB, and SIM ports are covered, and tempered glass and anti-shatter film cover the entire body of the phone.
Sony has also incorporated Battery STAMINA technology, which improve standby time by four times by automatically shutting down power-hogging apps when the screen is off and starting them up again when the screen is back on. Yes you can Switch between the apps you want to keep running. As with all of Sony’s latest smartphones, the Xperia Z is NFC-capable to enable wireless sharing between other Sony devices including Smart TVs, wireless accessories, smartphones and tablets. Lastly, Sony has four apps available exclusively on their phones: Walkman (yes, as in the Walkman), Album for photos, Movies for films and trailers, and mobile PlayStation.
The Xperia Z comes in three different colors — purple, white, and black. Though there is no information on carrier, price, specific release date, Sony has promised that it will launch the device globally in the first quarter of 2013.
